Broward County Jury awards construction worker $401,000 for fractured ankle

Grady McNeal was a construction worker at the Portofino Tower site in Miami Beach, Florida. Grady's job was to direct a tower crane operator on top of the building to the back of a flat bed truck located on the ground so the crane could drop off concrete forms. As Grady was in the process of unhooking one of the concrete forms, the crane operator dropped a concrete slab near Grady's location causing him to fall. As a result he suffered multiple fractures in his right ankle which required a surgical fusion.

Prior to trial, the Defendant only offered $75,000.00 and the McNeal's decided to take their case before a jury. Attorney Jeffrey Fenster tried the case to verdict and successfully obtained a verdict in excess of $400,000.00.
